Pimp Hall Nature Reserve
Tucked away between the recycling centre, park and allotments the nature reserve is a hidden gem in the heart of Chingford.
Once forgotten for many years it is now jointly managed by the Friends of Pimp Hall alongside The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) and Waltham Forest Council.
Funding from the Mayor of London's Rewild Fund in 2022 has enabled the group to plant a wildlife orchard and improve hedge lines within the nature reserve.
Heritage Lottery Funding was secured to establish a large wildflower meadow in 2016.
Since the Friends group was established the reserve has gone from strength to strength with monthly outdoor work days led by the Friends Group (every 3rd Thursday of the month).
Activities/groups also meet at the Learning Lodge which is hirable from the Hornbeam.
To hire the Learning Lodge building please contact the Hornbeam at [email protected]
Come visit, take a stroll and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
